Hi Bad Medicine backer!

We're heading towards that $15K stretch goal! Having those extra cards will be excellent.

I wanted to let you know that I'll be at UnPub in Baltimore this weekend! I will be playtesting Bad Medicine: Second Opinion, making sure there aren't any surprises on the cards (like, no duplicates, the ratio of complications is okay, etc.)

Want to join me! Go to table D3 this Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.

Thanks so much for your support on this campaign so far! I can't wait to get this game back in print.

Funded! Thank you everyone!

Thank you everyone!

With your help, we have reached our funding goal for Bad Medicine: Second Opinion. I'm so relieved and overjoyed that we're going to make it this time!

I'm typing this out in a hotel room in Reno, Nevada, on the next-to-last day of an industry event (GAMA Trade Show). It's been an exhausting show, but also very productive, and hitting our funding goal has made it all worthwhile.

So with the funding goal in the rear view mirror, we have about two weeks to hit our stretch goals! All our stretch goals in this project will go to add cards to the Bad Medicine: Second Opinion box.

Here's the first one:

This would take us from 60 to 75 cards in Second Opinion. The more cards we can get in this box, the more wild and varied your games will be!

And with that, it's 1 am in Reno, and I will go to bed. Here's to two weeks of stretch goals!

Thanks everyone!

On the road!

Hi Bad Medicine backer!

I'm so thrilled with what a good start this campaign has gotten off to. At this point in the campaign, it's normal for the rate of incoming pledges to slow down. Don't worry; we're still on pace to reach our funding goal soon, and we may even hit a couple of stretch goals before all is said and done!

If you're in the New England area of the US, come see me this weekend at Granite Game Summit! I'll have a copy of Bad Medicine: Second Opinion that I'd be happy to play with you. I'll have a designer's table on Friday starting at 5 pm, so that would be a perfect time to swing by and say hello.

Since I'll be on the road for the next 10 days (I'll be attending a trade show immediately after Granite Game Summit), I may not be able to reply immediately to comments or messages. But I will get back to you, so if you have any questions or thoughts, please let me know.

Onward to funding!

Welcome to the campaign, everyone!

So, a bit of history...

I launched Formal Ferret Games in late 2014. Our first game was Bad Medicine, launched on Kickstarter in February 2015. We hit almost three times our funding goal, and with that, Formal Ferret was on its way.

After I sold out of Bad Medicine, I returned to Kickstarter in 2016 to try to fund an expansion for Bad Medicine. But 2016 was a rough year for a number of reasons, and ultimately, Bad Medicine: Second Opinion failed to hit its funding goal.

At that point, my game The Networks was in the process of getting printed, and I threw all my resources behind it. Bad Medicine had to wait.

Now, The Networks is in its fourth printing, and I just finished graphic design on its first major expansion, funded by several thousand fans on Kickstarter. I also have a word game called Wordsy that has been received quite well, and is in its second printing.

So this is a great time for me to return to the game that started it all. Bad Medicine has returned!

For those of you new to the game, welcome! I hope you enjoy this charming game of awful drugs and worse side effects.

For those of you familiar with the game, thank you so much for your continued support! If this campaign meets its funding goal, I will have my whole catalog - Bad Medicine, The Networks, and Wordsy - in print and available for the first time since the company launched. I can't thank you enough for the opportunity.

Glad to have you aboard!
